In light of Earth Day (which was actually last week), I took this quiz to see what kind of "footprint" me and my lifestyle have on this earth...I was pretty surprised, it wasn't very good. Well, today is my sister-in-law, Amy's birthday! Happy Birthday AMY!
We had a family party for her on Monday, at my dad's house. It was so much fun! My sister Chava is in town from San Diego, so that was nice too. I made Amy a chocolate cake with strawberries, yum. Except the topping totally spilled over and melted in the car on our way up, cause it was supposed to be refrigerated. Oh well! It still tasted good.

My Dad bought Amy this great bouquet of HUGE balloons! It was awesome. We had fun taking lots of pictures with it. 
My brothers are crazy. Out of 6 of them, three were there and all 3 of them were doing crazy jumps on my dad's little trampoline. It was quite entertaining.

Saxon's hair is so funny when he wakes up in the morning and from naps! It goes into a curly 'fro and I love it! Pretty awesome..
The other day, he woke up and almost immediately insisted on putting on his boots. Even though he still had his sleeper on. What a funny kid! He makes our lives so wonderfully amusing.
This weekend we went up to my brother's cabin at Vivian Park to help them get it ready to rent out to vacationers, since they are moving to Newport Beach soon. (sounds soo great, doesn't it?) We are going to miss them! Saxon had a blast with my nephews, Coen and Suren.
Here's my little studmuffin! He loves when I take pictures of him, he'll even hand me the camera and pose sometimes. It's great. He amazes me every day with saying new words, and even sentences like "let's go!" and "what is that?"

One of my best friends, Andraya Newby, was baptised on April 11th. It was such a cool experience for me. She has been a very close friend for a long time, and has always been a really great girl-even an example to me, and I've been a member my whole life. I'm so happy for her to have the blessings that come along with baptism and to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
We all admire how supportive Andraya's parents are. They have been there for her at every sporting event (which were many) and anything else, you name it. Neither of them are members of the LDS church, but sure enough, they were there to support her.
Last night we had our good friends over for dinner! It has been a while, but we usually all get together and complete a dinner together. It's fun and a cheap way to eat a great meal from salad to dessert! Plus it's super fun, and super tasty. I made Tuscan Chicken Simmer (recipe here) and it turned out great.
I also made a little "tree boquet" for the table. Simple and natural :)
After dinner, we broke out the croquet set that Chris and I received for our wedding nearly 3 years ago and have never used. It ended up being way fun! Don set up his own crazy game on our lawn, complete with a stump to conquer.

Saxon was a handful! He wanted my attention, not for me to play croquet! But he loved being outside, it was a beautiful day.
At the end, we built a fire in the fire pit in our backyard! It was nice to not have to go far and still have a sweet fire. It's been a while, and I love fires!
We had a great time with our friends. I'm so grateful for good friends! If anyone else wants to have a fire with us, let me know!
This is only the beginning! Saxon loves being outside, and especially hiking around, and of course we do too! We've gone up to Rock Canyon the last couple of days, just for a short time. Just being up there for a little bit is so nice, and it's great that it's so close to where we live. We are excited for this summer, cause Saxon will be old enough to go camping and such. He fits right in with us and loves the outdoors.
Chris' brother, Josh joined us at the end. Saxon loves being one of the boys.
