some kind of update

So it's been a while since I've updated our blog.. mostly because I've forgotten to bring the camera to pretty much everything we've done lately. So here are a few recent, random photos to give at least some sort of update!
Saxon and I have been swimming a lot lately! We finally got season passes to 7 Peaks, and have been going a lot lately! Sax usually loves the water.
The best was the other day at Tadpole Pond, he kept trying to grab a stream of water over and over, then got really frustrated! Haha.
This is at a ward activity. It's so fun for Saxon to be around other babies (and it's nice for me to be around other young moms)
This cute baby girl is exactly Saxon's age (4 days difference) and is so cute and chubby! I thought Saxon was big!
Looks like she wants Saxon's paci!
My sister Chava has been in town from San Diego, along with her cute daughter Kale'a. Saxon and her like to hang out together. Here they are watching "Doodlebops"...whatever that is.
Chris got a new light kit for videography, so we had some fun taking pictures a few weeks ago.
NAKEY BUM!
I love this look that he's giving!
I can't believe how big Saxon is getting. Every single day I am amazed at how cute he is! He's been so great, coming along with us lately swimming, sailing, hiking, rock climbing, etc.
I feel lucky to be his mama.

to boldly go where no other stroller has gone before...

On Saturday (june 28) we spent the day in the beautiful Uintah mountains with our friends Donovan and Crystal Washburn. The weather was fantastic and the whole day was quite the adventure!!One thing is for sure: there is a LOT of runoff from all the snow that was up there. No wonder the Provo River is raging this time of year! In some places where we hiked, it almost looked swampy! It was so great cause there were flowers everywhere and being near the water kept us cool. Oh, not to mention how beautiful all the little waterfalls were, like this one.
Taking little Saxon with us was, indeed possible. A little crazy, but possible. And I betcha no other stroller has been on this trail before! hahaa.
Through streams....

Over logs....
Over snow and slush, (yes snow, in near July) and over the wide blue yonder... We were looking for a lake to fish in, but didn't exactly take the right trail..hence the crazy stroller ride for Saxon (he was a trooper!) So when we got here (picture), where it got super steep and impossible to go any further with a stroller, we just decided that we'd start a fire and roast some hot dogs and call it good. And those hot dogs were good!
(hebrew national hot dogs are the best)
Earlier in the day, we visited upper Provo Falls. It was so beautiful and the spray from the water felt great. Saxon loved it too!
Smoochies.... haha I went to kiss him and he tried to eat my face!
Uncle Don and Saxon
Our little group at the falls... what a fun day with our friends! It's so fun when Chris and Don get together. They've been friends since they were youngins and have done many crazy things together..
You can tell they are best friends, right?
Everywhere we go, they have to climb all over everything. Little monkeys! So of course, I have to join in!
Saxon loves being outdoors, and I'm so glad cause he fits right in with Chris and I!
I'm so glad that we got outside and in nature! I always feel so refreshed when we get to connect with nature and enjoy what Heavenly Father created.

maquette's bridal shower

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated this! Here are some oh so cute pictures of my little girly friends and I in Price, at Maquette Pott's bridal shower! It was so fun to hang out with these girls--it had been a long time.
We were being so crazy in the backyard after the shower. There was some crazy dancing, FGICing, and of course a friendly game of Bocce ball!
(don't tell Mama Newby that we accidentally hit her flowers)
Maquette displaying some gifts, off and on the body!
Of course, Saxon came along to the shower and was adored by all of his aunties. Mama Newby got to see him for the first time! He has lots of people who love him and I'm so glad!

there is life after a baby! we can still rock climb and stuff--just put him in the rope bag for a nap. it was set up with some trad gear in the rock and tied to a tree! genius!
getting sleepy

my friend Alyssa came down from Idaho, too. it was so fun to hang out with her! we've been friends since the 3rd grade! man, we were nerds back then...guess we still are!
handsome boy. he is so darn cute, and so fun! he's really babbling lately, chewing on everything, eating lots of solids, smiles and laughs all the time, and is reaching and grabbing at everything. i'm loving it.
daddy pulling some acrobatic moves with saxon, who doesn't look very intrigued...

Saxon's Blessing Day

On Sunday May 4th, we had Saxon's baby blessing. He looked so incredibly handsome! A lot of people love him and came to the blessing. It was a beautiful day! The blessing was very beautiful as well. Chris was nervous, but he did a great job! I've never heard a blessing quite like that one.
Here are the four generations of boys that were living in one house!
We had a very full house full of people over for lunch after! Here are some of them...
Here's grandpa! Haha... it's funny how Saxon smiles all the time, but we never get a picture of it because he gets distracted by the camera or something else..
Check out his cute bouteneer! Grandma Fryer gave that to him.
A couple of the aunties that Saxon loves so much!
Saxon loves grandma too! He couldn't take his eyes off of her.
Cousin Kale'a. Look at her wonderfully pouty lips! This girl is hardcore. She wouldn't stay away from the stairs and wanted to go down them so bad that she just fell down them and didn't even cry.
Cousin Anabella and Saxon are only 6 months apart! They will be good friends, I think. See how they match? So cute.
Kisses! My friend RiKelle came to see Saxon get blessed too. She is another one of Saxon's "aunties" that he loves!
Like I said, Saxon is so handsome! To me, he is the cutest little guy in the whole world... I am amazed every day by him.
Those blessing booties were passed down from his great, great grandma so they were very special.
