Memorial Day is a special day!

This Memorial Day Christopher and I went fishing! YAYY! Here we are getting all ready to go, tying flies and spinners(me) onto our lines.

That's my spinner that we just bought, just for me! Along with my very first fishing license ever! It takes a while to get ready to go fishing. Especially fly fishing. Chris is really good at it though. I love how beautiful a cast looks with fly fishing. It's like an art. Here he is tying on a second fly, to double his chances.

This was our favorite spot of the day. Chris didn't have much luck in there with his fly pole (how unusual! usually they love the flies!) But I caught my first two little fishies in this spot. They were tiny, but it was still exciting!!

You can't say that those waders aren't super hot. Everyone will be wearing them everywhere soon. Same with the hat.

After fishinng, we went to this cemetery in north Orem, to commemorate Memorial Day a little bit. There wer sooo many flowers and flags. It was a really cool sight.

Here we visited the grave of Chris' grandpa Simpson. He was a war veteran. There is a gun inscribed on this cause he was a good shooter!After we got home, we cruised around the neighborhood for a while, and then had LONGBOARD WARS down the sidewalk by our house.

It's where you start at the top of the street, and race to the bottom--all the while trying to push each other off of the sidewalk so they will be disqualified, or pulling at each other or on the grass to pick up more speed!

Of course, I won most of the time. This is just a trick picture, making it look like Chris won.
